--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With this lady I will open a new line on my blog. I have coined it as "trips and things of M´s friends". Because Jenn is a cool girl and I reckon she is a good starting point. Since this chick rocks, she recently went to a city that also rocks a lot: Berlin. She loaded a lot of pieces of good advice and did not hesitate in wanting to share. Note that she was lucky enough to be guided by a local friend, so I think her recommendations are worth making a note of!

Destination: Berlin.

Duration: one week.
Trip Profile: urban, cultural, alternative.
Accommodation: ns / nc.
Likes: freaky.
She was born on August 25, 1984.

WHERE TO EAT

About cool and cheap eats out, Jenn discovered 3 that, in her opinion, are "great."

Burgeramt_fast food / burger.
Ron Telesky_ canadian pizza.
Japanese noodle Susuru_. In Susuru I should find the best noodle soups around Berlin.
Tag: are fairly inexpensive and very authentic.

WHAT TO DO

On guided tours and more, there is an alternative tour called Hörpol and you can print your own map at home and download the audio guide in English on your mobile! Walk sites include testimonies from many people who lived through the Holocaust. It's free and highly recommended.

There are also tours leaving from Brandenburger Tor (across from Starbucks), available in different languages and free of charge. My main character of today says that "they do great, nobody really goes without giving big tips". Tours leave at 11, 13 and 16h respectively, last almost 4 hours and you pause for a drink.

A cute place? Check CUPCAKE out, a charming cafe featuring cupcakes in all shapes and colors (opposite the church Zionskirch).

Geeky stuff? There is this abandoned amusement park. The park is called Spreepark and is heading down in Treptow Park, with its giant trees.

NIGHT OUT

In the evening Jenn went to Cassiopeia, some abandoned buildings, home of Dubstep and Drum & Bass. The entry is 6 € and there are a few rooms where you can dance. She also mentions BARGHAIN, but she was not in. It is the epitome of disco and electronic music in Berlin. They say it is not easy to get in, depending on the time you go, eg. Sunday noon are open. "It seems that it is open non stop from Friday to Monday ... And people flips out." Describes the interior as "amazing". But hey, if one does not manage to get in it is not a big deal, because "it is surrounded by many other clubs where one can go"

And this is the end to Jenn's suggestions. I keep wanting more ... Thanks saucy!
